A Pink Blackbird

Grey mist
and purple seas.

Our oars

are defective
as a pink blackbird

seeking the protection
of gables

made from trance and smoke.

Windblown fingertips
crinkle your nipples

and make you
want to bear

one more child
and endure
brief timelessness

of me.

The wind pushes
us from all sides

and together

in finest style.
